Case profile
Plastic surgery is a difficult market for search placement. This surgeon had a website, but it was outdated and the CMS it came with lacked basic SEO elements. The practice started with a redesign onto a user-friendly CMS that allowed search engine optimization to be executed properly. From there we optimized the site with schema, metadata and content structure to accelerate its growth.
The challenge
The old platform could not support custom titles, structured data or clean URLs, so no amount of optimization would have stuck. Cosmetic surgery searches are also dominated by directories and large practice groups. The practice needed a technical foundation first and then content that made each procedure page the best answer for that search.
What we did
- Website redesign onto a CMS that supports proper on-page SEO.
- Physician and medical procedure schema markup across the site.
- Metadata rewritten for every page with procedure-specific keywords.
- Content formation: procedure pages structured with clear headings, FAQs and calls to action.
- Ongoing monitoring of rankings and traffic to guide the next round of content.
The results
Users increased 56%, new users 58% and sessions 61%. The redesign and optimization gave the practice a visible, growing presence for procedure searches and demonstrated the value of SEO to the doctor. More in our medical SEO case studies.
